Custom Conversions​​



Able Overland will convert any 4x4 into a fully prepared overland vehicle. 

​

The skills, techniques and experience we have ensure any make or model can be built to be your perfect overlander.

We have developed a unique combination of technologies that means your overland truck can be easily tailored to your needs.

​

We use GPR composite panels to build an incredibly strong, lightweight and superbly insulated overland body. Fabrication is a simple and quick process and it offers a huge range of body configurations.

​

As well as being strong and durable, your overland body will be flexible; perfectly suited to deal with challenging off road and arduous  rough road conditions.

​

We achieve this using a Torsion Free Mount. When the chassis is twisting and rocking on uneven surfaces, the body remains relatively level. This is because the body is mounted so that it can move independently of the chassis, isolating it from the worst effects of the driving surface.

​

Interiors can be made in a range of materials, exactly to your needs and specifications. Although, if you want advice and suggestions we are happy to compile a selection of plans so you can choose.

​

We have a wealth of experience building and living in different overland trucks, so we know the little things, the tweaks, tricks and tips that can make all the difference to the perfect living space.

We can help from the very beginning. As soon as you have made that momentous decision, "Yes, we're doing it", there will be something for your overlanding trip  we can help with.



Where to go, what to see, when to go. The routes to take and those to avoid. How to avoid the pitfalls and how to cope with any that you simply can't sidestep or foresee.

Able Overland has a team of experienced overland experts that can assist in route planning, documentation and journey sanity survival tips which will make the trip go smoother.

​

We can also provide bush mechanic courses, basic first aid and off road driver training, navigation and even camper-cookery courses.

​

If you want a blog about your trip, but don't want to build the website, we can do that too.

Equipment Provision



There are many things that you might need to take with you overlanding…. cookware, clothing, GPS systems and maps, sound systems, water purification systems, tools, spares, first aid kits and medicines, sports kit, communications, computers and hard drives, food stores and games, cameras, binoculars, bedding and…. Then there are things you might think you need, but really, you don't.

There is a dazzling array of camping, outdoor, survival, basic travel and adventure sports kit on the market that could be very useful to you.

​

Choosing what to buy and what not is time consuming and confusing. If you get it wrong it can also be expensive. Able Overland can provide you with a tailored list for any aspect, or all of your equipment needs.

​

We have a specialist who has been assessing overlanding and adventure travel kit for many years and who also has detailed knowledge of camera, computer and other electrical technology systems suitable for your trip.

​

As well as providing you with a list to make your own purchases we can often source many items at a saving.
